This is the very last of my photos of animals from the Keys. I spotted many many birds during a kayak trip that I took down the channel that separates Key West from its neighboring island, Stock Island, but this was the only new bird picture I took that was especially good.
Despite feeding almost entirely on fish, cormorants’ feathers aren’t waterproof, and they spend a large amount of time drying off after they’ve taken a swim.
